Feedback from Instructors
"The instructors were extremely professional and knowledgeable. They care about their students, and it is evident. They will teach you all of the basics that you should be aware of when riding a motorcycle. This class is highly recommended for any motorcyclist, no matter what age or previous experience.
The classroom instruction was thought-provoking and informative. The feedback from the instructor was the highlight of the riding instruction. They did not just say "OK" they would tell you precisely what you did wrong,, for example, "You were looking down at the handlebars" or "You gave it too much gas" or "Your wrists were bent" or "You changed gears too early" or "You were not pushing down on the foot peg". They then explained how to fix the problem.

This type of coaching is the price you pay for a quality training session and the thing that sets this course apart from others. Some riders may consider this to be harsh, but I believe it is necessary to give students the best chance of passing the test and riding safely.
I've been to classes previously and the instructor never gave me any feedback. Unless a student is posing a clear danger or hindering the progress of other students in the group, there's no reason why instructors should have the final word on whether or not the student is able to pass the course.
I believe that any school offering moto without personal coaching is missing an essential component of their curriculum, and is not worthy of the high marks they are awarded in student reviews. The most efficient method of learning quickly and safely is to take the Basic RiderCourse followed by private lessons. You can learn from an expert, avoid bad habits and begin riding with confidence and knowledge that you can use for an entire lifetime. Graduates of a RiderCourse are exempt from taking the written and riding endorsement tests in a majority of states. Some insurance companies also offer discounts to those who have completed the course.
Final Exam
During the second half of the class, you'll learn road skills, including the ability to brake and accelerate shifting gears, turning and steering. This part of the class lasts until you are able to pass a riding skills evaluation. This part of the course is what will determine if you are issued a motorcycle license road test waiver card. The evaluation will include maneuvers that the DMV driver examiner will be looking for during your test to determine your license. It's okay if it doesn't pass the exam. Be prepared to take it again the next time and keep working hard.
If you pass the test, your instructor will give you a certificate of completion that can be used to obtain a discount on insurance for motorcycles. You will also be a licensed motorcycle rider and are now able to legally operate your bike on the streets.
