Driving License Category A1
Driving License Category A1 permits you to drive motorized two-wheeled vehicles. It permits you to drive mopeds or small motorcycles with an engine power of less than 11 kW.

Prerequisites
You must be at least 16 years old to get a driving license category A1. This license allows drivers to drive an easy motorcycle, whereas A2 and A are reserved for larger motor vehicles. You must also complete an emergency course and complete theoretical training based on the full curriculum. There are a variety of driving schools that offer this course. Prices may differ but they all follow the same curriculum.
The practical training consists up of a number of driving lessons. These lessons are between three and four hours per. The instructors will guide you through the fundamentals of your motorcycle along with the basic rules of road. The amount of time you spend instruction will be determined by your performance and abilities, but the curriculum stipulates that you attend a minimum of five hours of instruction on federal roads and four hours of training on country roads. You'll also have to take specific riding lessons designed to enhance your skills in difficult situations.
Anyone who wishes to drive vehicles in category C must have a driver's license of category B or more. A person who already has a licence of category B can continue to learn of category A1 using an abbreviated course, but must complete a minimum of 10 theory and ten driving lessons at a driving school. This is not feasible for those who has an A licence, which is why the training of this category starts at a younger age.
Driving License Category A1 is a great option for teenagers looking to take control of their own car, or for those who have been driving for a long time, but are seeking new ways to get around. The restrictions of this type of license are designed to ensure safety for everyone. However, they may be lifted if you can prove that you are able to safely operate larger vehicles.
You must have an official medical certificate in addition to your driver's license. Depending on your medical condition, you may be required to take an eye exam or other tests. You can also upgrade your licence by adding an endorsement. This usually involves passing a second knowledge test, and sometimes a test of skills.
Training
To obtain a Driving License Category A1, you must pass both the theory and the practical test. Additionally you will need to attend the courses in theory and receive training. The training will teach you the basic concepts of motorcycling and traffic laws that you will be able to apply in your future driving. During the course, you'll learn about the common tests and materials, as well as the specific additive that includes requirements for each licence category.
After you have completed the theory and practical tests, you are able to drive a vehicle with an engine that can be powered by up to 125cc. This includes motorcycles that do not have a sidecar, tricycles and mopeds with three or more wheels. The vehicle cannot weigh more than 400kg with no load or carry up to 750kg. You are only able to drive motorcycles in the full category A1 when you possess an full A2 or A2 licence. Theory test
The Driving License Category A1 exam is a two-part test that comprises a theoretical portion as well as an actual part. Depending on your age, you may not need to do the theory test or the practical test when you have experience riding motorcycles. Practical test
The practical portion of the Driving License Category A1 exam consists of two parts. The first is the examiner's checking and prepping your motorcycle to drive. You will then perform several tasks in an area for testing. The tasks include an angle start (moving off from behind a car that is parked) and a variety of normal starts. You will be required to make numerous hill starts as well turning left and right in the road. The examiner will also ask you to follow a particular direction and drive ahead, unless directed otherwise by radio.
You must answer 50 multiple-choice questions to earn your license. You can either take the test at an educational centre or on your own. Before you can take the practical exam you must have completed at minimum 5 hours of training on Federal or Country Roads, 4 hours of training on Highways, and 3 hours of training in the darkness or dawn. These hours are in addition to the regular practice you must take when taking motorcycle lessons.
After having passed the theory and practice tests, you'll be granted a Driving License Category A1. This license permits you to drive a motorcycle with a maximum displacement of 125 cubic centimeters and a power/weight ratio of no more than 11 kW per kilogram. This licence allows you to drive trikes with engines that is up to 125cc and an engine power/weight ratio of not more than 11 kW for each kilogram.
Before you can get your license, you will also need to pass a medical examination. You must prove that you've taken an initial-aid course and passed an eyesight test. If you are under 18 years old, you'll need the permission of your parent or legal guardian before you are able to apply for a driver's license.
